Jim Garling along with Prairie Moon produces a sound reminiscent of the music of Sons of the Pioneers, Gene Autry, and other cowboys of the silver screen as well as new sounds of contemporary cowboy/western artists.

Jim is an accomplished performer, teacher, and songwriter from historic Guthrie, Oklahoma. Audiences enjoy his remarkable guitar skills and rich vocals that occasionally includes yodeling. He has recorded three CDs each containing cowboy songs with some cuts leaning toward western swing. Jim is president of the Western Music Association Oklahoma Chapter and is part of the Oklahoma Arts Council Touring Roster.
Prairie Moon is made up of Dennis and Sally Gilstrap from Oklahoma City, singing delicate and precise harmonies. The two of them contribute instrumentally to the full sound of the group--Dennis playing the upright bass and Sally the mandolin. They recorded harmonies with Jim on his CD "Cattle, Trails, and Romance." In addition to Priaire Moon, they have many years of combined experience performing with the Fine Wire Band (bluegrass) and Wind River (folk).
Although this group hasn't punched any dogies or moved cattle up the trails, they know about western music and how to lasso a melody with intricate and tight harmonies that tie it together in one remarkable performance that pleases audiences young and old.
